Press Release (BdW):
"Lab" - a bio lab as we know it or not
What at first glance seems like a microchip shows the modern biological laboratory of a pharmaceutical company from a bird's-eye view. Through the steep top-view the deserted laboratory appears as a model. As if the ceiling was removed, architectural structures and human traces of a modern bio-laboratories become visible. The image shows us a reality that we know but so never can see. Thus, the photo also cites scientific research to some extent, that in fact often represents with the help of technical aids. The image consists of 600 individual recordings that were made below the laboratory ceiling using a tripod and remote release and assembled on the computer back to one image. The camera took over the role of a space - scanner. Two days took the recording session. The subsequent workshop at a computer took three months to complete the work. The work measures in the original 261 x 149 cm.
